“Stranded at Sea” – Poetic Verse (Prayer)-BJT2

“Stranded at Sea” – BanjoTom2

Once, I was lost on a small boat out at sea…
There weren’t no one there…
Just the ocean, my boat and me…

I felt very lost and just knew that I’d die…
When along came another boat that said,
“Hey, Want a Ride?”…

Now it’s all good, but I sure ain’t forgot…
How lost and hungry I was,
How stinky and hot…

I thought much later
About having been so lost…
As on my little boat I drifted away
And got tossed…
From wave to wave and sea to sea…
I thought I was alone,
But there was someone watching…
Out just for me…

Nowadays, we have cell phones…
When we’re out and about…
What if you lose service,
While you’re traveling about?

Your cell phone may falter…
And your cell phone may fail…
But there’s a friend in the sky…
Who died hanging by nails…

His name is Jesus…
He’s the best friend you’ve got…
You can access him through prayer…
Whether your phone works or not…

He will always be there…
When friends can’t be found…
When you’re sick and you’re dying…
He’s always around…

He created us and saved us…
He’s always right here…
Just ask and He’ll come…
No reason to fear…

I write these here words…
From experience in life…
So many times lost…
So much sorrow and strife…

I still go through troubles…
In my Earthly man’s life…
But I now know my saviour…
He’s been here, my whole life…

All I have to do is ask…
And I’ll get what I need…
Not riches and wealth,
Or things born of greed…

We’re all just ‘kids’…
With a Father on high…
He watches us all…
Both morning and night…

When we’re in trouble…
He knows and He comes…
Just pray and He’ll help you…
The universe He runs!

So, as you move on…
Through your life here on Earth…
Remember your Saviour…
His death, resurrection and re-birth…

He’s always on call…
He’s always there…
Put down your cell phone…
And talk to Him… in prayer!
